Is she gone? Great! Hello, dogs! You may have heard about a very important holiday coming up called Mother’s Day. We know you love your mom more than 10,000 tennis balls and we want to help you celebrate her to the fullest. No need to worry about getting anything fancy! There are plenty of gifts to give that show how much you care. Here are some dog-friendly ways to celebrate your mom on Mother’s Day:

1. Take her for a stroll

Spend some quality time with mom by taking her for a nice long stroll through your favorite park or neighborhood. Be sure to take the scenic route! The longer the walk, the better. This is the perfect opportunity to share your favorite sniffing spots and show her how to roll down your favorite grassy hill.

2. Craft a paw-made card

First, find some scrap paper laying around. My humans collect theirs in containers around the house or you can just wait for that man in shorts and a funny hat to drop some off. Next, go dirty up your paws outside. Cover the scrap paper in your paw prints for decoration and leave it on her pillow when you’re done. She’ll love it!

3. Make her dinner

Not having opposable thumbs is definitely a drawback when it comes to culinary preparation. Don’t fret! Fetch a jar of peanut butter from the pantry that you two can share. A quick and easy meal for two with minimal mess! Remind me again why we don’t eat dinner like this more often?

4. Bring her flowers

Moms love flowers. Where is a dog supposed to get flowers? Dig some up from the backyard or pick some up on your long stroll to the park, whichever you prefer. No need for a vase or fancy bow. Just leave them scattered around the house or yard as a fun surprise!

5. Give her lots of hugs and kisses

We’re talkin’ slobbery smooches and warm full-body hugs. Remember, your mom loves you just for being you. The way you’re always excited to see her when she comes home or the way you lay your head on her lap when she’s sad means the world to her. If nothing else, your unconditional love is the best gift she could ask for.
