While we’re sure that it goes without saying, be sure to abide by the rules of common dog-owner decency when taking your dog out and about with you. When visiting an area pumpkin patch, be sure to have plenty of poop bags with you (oh, and don’t forget to USE them), bring extra water for your dog, keep him on a leash the whole time (no exceptions!), and carefully reconsider the idea of dressing him up for the event. While dogs in costumes and clothing can be pretty darn cute, it’s also not always the kindest thing to do to our four-legged best friends. Keep his comfort first and foremost in mind before dressing your dog in his argyle sweater and jaunty snap-brim hat for the occasion.
Happy fall, y’all!
My previous home backed to a pumpkin farm, so we had the yearly opportunity to attend these types of things. It’s good to know they are still an option here in San Antonio, although only one is close to the city.
I was wondering if Medina would be on the list because that is the only one I have visited. Back then we had just missed the season, so there weren’t any pumpkins or apples to be found.
Right now we’re scheduled to hear a Halloween concert inside the natural concert hall of Cave Without A Name. Before we do that, we will have to look into visiting one of these.
The farm I used to live behind didn’t charge for parking or admission. I believe they only charged for pumpkins, and the haunted house. However, it sounds like this one in San Antonio charges everyone who is entering, whether or not they utilize the activities. Is that right?
