SUMMARY:Monthly Bark in the Park
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for our monthly Boston Terrier social! When you enter the park from Military Highway\, take the first right. The dog park is along your right side behind the bushes/trees. The parking lot is on your left. We will be there from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM. We will be in the small dog section of the dog park. \nIf the parking lot is full\, go back to the main entrance street and turn right. There will be additional parking just down the street all within walking distance of the dog park. \nIt’s always lots of fun to see so many Boston Terriers running all over the place. (The most we’ve had at one time was around 30. C-R-A-Z-Y!!!!!) As one first time participant said\, “These is organized chaos.” It’s a good idea to bring your own water bottle and bowl. Toys too. And plastic bags for those accidents. We look forward to seeing you! \nIMPORTANT: Please stop to read the dog park rules which are posted at the dog park’s entrance.

SUMMARY:FREE Mobile Pet Wellness Clinic
DESCRIPTION:The Animal Defense League of Texas and Animal Care Services will be hosting a pet vaccination and microchipping event each month to support our community members and pets in need. The ADL mobile clinic will be in your community on August 27\, 2022 at Lockwood Park from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Clinic services are available for San Antonio residents only and free of cost with proof of residency.\n\nWhat’s included: Free vaccines\, microchips\, and prevention (for selected district per event)\n\nWhat to expect: Clinic services are available for San Antonio residents only. Please be prepared to provide a valid driver’s license or identification card for verification. Each clinic location will be in a targeted district. For this clinic\, priority for services/resources will be given to those residing in the District 2 zip codes. After all district residents are taken care of\, then we will continue to provide services for city wide residents.\nDistrict 2 zip codes: 78202\, 78203\, 78208\, 78209\, 78218\, 78219\, 78220\n***Limit to 125 pets served\, 3 pets per household. All services are offered on a first-come\, first-served basis. ***\n\nFor your pets: All canines must remain on a leash or in a carrier. All felines must remain in a carrier\, one adult per carrier or two kittens per carrier. Each eligible pet 12 weeks or older will receive a 1-year Rabies vaccine. DHPP vaccines will be provided for canines. FVRCP vaccines will be provided for felines. Microchips will be available for all pets. Up to one year supply of flea and tick prevention will be given to the targeted district while supplies last.
