SUMMARY:A Friday Night Walk at Eisenhower Park- On National Donut Day
DESCRIPTION:In honor of our first National Food Day event which was on June 6th\, 2011 (National Donut Day)\, we will be celebrating National Donut Day in\n2022 on June 3rd. (National Donut Day is always on the first Friday in June). \nThis was a very popular event back in 2011\, 2012\, and 2013 for our group. This is the event as it originally appeared with a couple of updates: \nEisenhower Park is one of San Antonio’s favorite hiking parks. It offers trails at various difficulty levels. However\, we will stick to the Cedar Flats Trail (a paved trail) on the way up\, and the Cedar Flats Trail on the way down. \nOur route will be about 1.6 miles and will take us just under an hour to complete. Although some of the route is somewhat steep\, it is an easily manageable route for most people and dogs\, and we have had great walks here in the past. \nIn celebration of National Donut Day\, I will bring two dozen donuts. Please feel free to bring donuts or water or soft drinks or anything else you wish to bring. Bringing something is not required. \n**Please come join us for the walk and donuts after the walk is concluded!** \nWalk Statistics \nDistance: 2.2 miles \nTime: 1 hour \nTemperature: around 89 degrees\, with lots of shade\, and a low UV index. Even when fairly warm this park is very comfortable especially as the sun is going down. \nConditions: TBA \nWalk Difficulty: Moderate \nWalk Traffic: Low. No bikes are allowed in this park \nGoal: Tower at the end of the Cedar Flats Trail\, which provides a great view of San Antonio. \nLeash Rules: All dogs should be on a leash. All leashes should be 6 feet or shorter. \nOliver and I look forward to seeing you!
