DESCRIPTION:On Feb. 28\, The Historic Pearl’s live music series returns during the month of love with a free concert by the Texicana Mamas! The powerhouse trio is made up of three of the state’s most celebrated Latina musicians—Tish Hinojosa\, Stephanie Urbina Jones and Patricia Vonne Fan Page. Bring your sweetheart\, friends\, or family to Pearl Park for an evening of love and music from 7:30 to 9 p.m. \nThis event is free and open to the public; no tickets are needed. Guests are invited to bring picnic blankets and standard-sized\, foldable chairs. \nAbout Texicana Mamas:\nSeparately their musical influences include folk\, conjunto\, Americana\, flamenco\, country\, Tex-Mex rock ‘n’ roll\, the Texas singer-songwriter tradition\, the mariachi\, corrido and norteño traditions of the border\, and Lone Star country-rock.\nTogether\, melding these inspirations with their own distinct sounds and personalities\, the Texicana Mamas are creating something new\, fresh\, vibrant and distinct.\nA collaborative effort between three of the state’s most celebrated Latina musicians—Tish Hinojosa\, Stephanie Urbina Jones and Patricia Vonne—the newly-minted trio has already created a buzz that complements the kudos their individual careers have collected. Debuting at Nashville’s famed Bluebird Café last fall\, the Texicana Mamas have also performed at the Latinapalooza showcase during this year’s South By Southwest music festival and have other dates in the pipeline.\nAll three women are San Antonio natives with deep roots in the Latino/Anglo culture of South Texas.
