SUMMARY:Paws-A-Palooza!!
DESCRIPTION:It’s back!!! Come out and enjoy the most fun-filled weekend that you can spend with your dog! \nWe’ve reserved a private pavilion at Canyon Lake Park for the whole weekend! Join your Nature Hounds pals for three days of fun\, an overnight campout\, or just a day trip to the lake! It’s all up to you. \nParticipate in as many (or as few) activities as you want including: Camping\, kayaking\, hiking\, swimming\, dogs games\, evening strolls\, potluck dinner\, and grillin’ & chillin’. All in one place!! \nIf you haven’t had an opportunity to attend one before\, the pavilion includes a shaded area with tables\, electricity\, restrooms\, water and (thanks to Kenny) even a pretty spiffy makeshift shower! Canyon Lake is short walk through the park and an abandoned boat ramp makes for a perfect beach to splash around on. There is a plentiful amount of space to set up a tent if you choose to camp\, and the area is far from any roads\, which allows us to have a mostly Off-Leash experience while we’re there. \nSince there is an off-leash event it’s important that your dog is comfortable in that environment. If you are unsure of how your dog will handle this\, please bring a crate or tie-out for your dog in case it is needed. Please be respectful of any dog that needs his space or privacy and always ask before you or your dog approach a dog that is in a crate or tied up. Spayed or Neutered only\, please. \nIf you wish to contribute\, all meals are a community potluck. If you haven’t had the pleasure of enjoying a Nature Hound potluck before… well… let’s just say it’s usually worth the cost of admission!! Before the event date\, please update in the comments with any items you will be bringing for the potlucks. \nPaws-A-Palooza is both Friday and Saturday and you must RSVP for both nights if you’ll be spending the weekend with us. RSVP for the 2nd night HERE: https://www.meetup.com/sanaturehounds-com/events/249043800/ \nAdmission is $10 per day\, per person.\nFee includes overnight stay if you wanna take advantage of our great camping area! Paws-A-Palooza is\, with few exceptions\, the only way that our group raises funds and keeps chugging along. Please come out and support us\, AND have a GREAT day/weekend!! \nDirections:\nCanyon Park is located on the North shore of Canyon Lake near Hancock.\nFrom IH 35N\, take Exit 191 north of New Braunfels\, Texas.\nDrive West on FM 306 20 Miles\, turn left on Canyon Park Road.\nFrom US 281N\, turn east on FM 306.\nTravel east 12 miles\, turn right on Canyon Park Road \nFor reference points\, there is a blinking traffic light with Hancock Plaza shopping center located directly across 306 from Canyon Park Road \nWhen you get to the guard gate\, just tell them you’re there for the Nature Hounds Paws-a-palooza to avoid being charged a $12 fee to enter the park. \nCheck out pictures from our last Paws-a-Palooza here (http://www.meetup.com/sanaturehounds-com/photos/991702/).
