DESCRIPTION:Join us Saturday\, April 14th for our Pre-Fiesta Edition!!! Fiesta is just around the corner and we are ready to have Paw-ty Bike Ride. Everyone is welcome to ride\, so you don’t have to bring a dog\, but you need to be a dog-lover and enjoy biking. \nWe will start at Mission Marquee Plaza (The old Mission Drive-In) and take a slow paced ride down the Mission Trails about 10-12 miles total. After the ride\, you can stay to enjoy the fun of Barkitecture 2018. Barkitecture is a free pet festival featuring a competition showcasing local students’ dog house creations. Bring $ to enjoy the vendors and food trucks. \nDress your pet in Fiesta or Spring attire for a prize. Best costume wins a gift card. \nWheels and Paws Down @ 9:00am \nBring plenty of water for you and your pet.\nHelmets are strongly recommended

DESCRIPTION:2018 Barkitecture San Antonio~ is a city-wide Jr. High\, High School & College competition for students to build the “BEST” dog house in San Antonio. Students will compete for the title of “BEST in Show” at a day long festival April 14\, 2018. \nThese “one of a kind” dog houses will be judged at 10am and then auctioned off to the public in a silent auction\, with a portion of the proceeds to be donated to pet rescue and adoption non-profits! Auction takes place throughout the day\, till 4pm when event ends. \n* Free festival & open to the public.\n* Dog house competition. Silent Auction of all Dog House entries.\n* FREE- 300 rabies shots & 300 microchipping to the public from 1pm- 4pm. (First come basis.)\n* Dog adoptions from multiple rescue non-profits.\n* Classic car staging from PushRods Car Club.\n* Doggy Costume Contest & Wiener Derby (Open to the public.).\n* Vendors\, Food Trucks and various live entertainment. \nFamily\, children and dog friendly FREE to the public festival. (All dogs must be up to date on vaccines and kept on a leash.) City-wide Jr. High & High School competition. (See page for schools competing.)

Appropriate for all fitness levels – both human and canine. \nThe highlight is our Down & Dirty Obstacle Course that you complete with your dog! You can try it out for only $5! \nWe meet at the San Antonio Humane Society outside the front door. \nBuddy Up!\nNo dog? No problem! You can take part in our new BUDDY UP program allowing you to “borrow” an adoptable dog from SA Humane for a minimum $5 donation paid directly to SA Humane. You get a workout buddy and the dog enjoys socializing with you and getting plenty of great exercise. It’s a win-win! Please note that we need your RSVP for this at least 12 hours in advance and you must pay for the class in advance. Thank you!
