Bring your furry friends to The Dog Guide San Antonio’s 5th annual Santa Paws Parade at Downtown Dog Market with Make Ready! This FREE, dog-friendly event runs from 11 AM to 3 PM and is a perfect outing to enjoy with your pup.
Get ready for a festive day of holiday-themed fun, complete with the return of our Santa Paws Parade and costume contest (details below)!
Don’t miss out on our lineup of local vendors offering unique dog-friendly goods! From handmade bandanas to treats, you’ll find something special for your furry friend while supporting local businesses in the dog-loving community.
FREE parking is available at the Make Ready lot, located at 827 Broadway, for registered attendees.

Santa Paws Parade & Dog Costume Contest Info:Early bird costume contest entry is just $5 thru Nov. 30.
Santa Paws Parade check-in/registration will be open from 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM on event day, with the parade kicking off at 2 PM.
Winners of the costume contest will be announced promptly afterward.
Costume categories include Best Ugly Christmas Sweater, Best Doggy-Owner Duo, and Best in Show. Group costumes count as a single contest entry.
Costume Contest Rules:– Contestants must register dog(s) online or in-person by 1:30 PM on event day.
– Pairs or groups may be registered as a team but will only count as one entry.
– All dogs must be on leash.
– Dogs must be under voice control at all times.
– Dogs must be up to date on their vaccinations.
Awards will be given for Best Ugly Christmas Sweater, Best Doggy-Owner Duo, and Best in Show.
