Calling all metro-doggos!
Walk your humans on down to The Dog Guide San Antonio’s Downtown Dog Market! Enjoy the vibrant lawn of Legacy Park and help your human get in touch with their city-loving side at this FREE event on Third Saturdays this fall.
FREE Parking: Thanks to our dog-loving friends over at Artpace, we’ll have free parking available for each market.
You can find the Artpace lot at 513 N Flores, and it’s just a brief walk up to the market at Legacy Park, 103 W. Houston St.
Artpace also welcomes well-mannered, leashed doggos in their gallery, and on their rooftop.
Find your new furry family member with our local adoption partners and meet some of San Antonio’s top dog-friendly businesses.
Our September event will include FREE coffee from Estate Coffee Co. and Bexar Essentials will be out to help register voters!

🎃 October Bark or Treat + Dog Costume Contest Info:
Visit our vendors for some family-friendly bark or treating + dress your doggos up for our costume contest.
Early bird costume entry is just $5 or $10 at the door, and all registrations help us waiver the vendor fee for our rescue partner.
Registration will be open from 10:00 – 11:30AM. Judging will begin at 12PM at The Dog Guide SA booth, with winners of the costume contest announced shortly after. Costume categories are Spookiest, Best Doggy-Owner Duo, and Best in Show. Group costumes count as a single contest entry.
Each costume contest winner will win a prize pack with gifts from local dog-friendly business including:
- SouthPaw Waggery surprise
- Choice of bandana from Ritzy Rebels
- More to come!
Costume Contest Rules:
- Contestants must register dog(s) online or in-person by 11:30AM on event day.
- Pairs or groups may be registered as a team, but will only count as 1 entry.
- All dogs must be on leash
- Dogs must be under voice control at all times
- Awards will be given for Spookiest, Best Doggy-Owner Duo, and Best in Show
- Contestants must arrive at competition site 15 minutes prior to judging.
