Market Square, the heart of Latino cultura in San Antonio, will come to life on Friday, November 2 to celebrate Dia de los Muertos.
Join us for a screening of Pixar’s Coco, a folklorico performance by Teresa Champion and an art show by Henry Ford Academy that is a tribute to the students’ favorite deceased rockstar! HFA students will also offer face painting, turning any visitor into the Catrina of their dreams.
The San Antonio Public Library’s Latino Collection will be onsite with children’s activities and workshops. Join them in decorating mini sugar skulls or making nichos to place on the public altar at El Mercado.
Market Square food vendors and artisans will be active on the plazas, selling handmade items such as calaveras and flower crowns.
This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
