Occupation: Realtor at All City Homes

Dog’s Name & Breed: Bessie, Chihuahua

How did your dog become a part of your life?

Every morning at Jones Middle School she would come to the front of the school and the students would give her snacks. On the last day of school I wondered who would feed her snacks during the summer. I texted a photo of her to my wife with “Can we keep her?” She said yes and that was the day that Bessie became our first child.

What makes your dog unique?

She’s the biggest chihuahua that I’ve seen and I suspect that she’s got a little miniature greyhound in her. I’ve never heard her bark, but recently my wife told me that she barks when people come to the front door, only if I’m not home.

What’s your favorite way to spoil your dog?

She loves to rough house, she’ll zoom all around the house and our kids love it.

What’s the most rewarding thing about being a dog owner for you?

We had Bessie before we had our kids, so seeing our kids grow up with her has been a joy.

Tell us about your favorite thing to do with your dog in San Antonio.

We love to take walks at Pearsall Park with Bessie and the kids. Taking daily walks to the mailbox is how we teach our kids to keep her safe and be responsible dog owners.
