🐕 Walk your humans on down to The Dog Guide San Antonio’s Downtown Dog Market! Enjoy the vibrant lawn of Legacy Park and help your human get in touch with their city-loving side at this FREE event on Third Saturdays this fall.
🎄 Get ready for a paw-some time with holiday-themed fun for dogs and humans alike, and find the details about the return of our Santa Paws Parade and costume contest below.
🛒 Don’t forget to shop with our dog-friendly vendors at the market! From handmade bandanas to dog treats, you’ll find something special for your furry friend. Plus, you’ll be supporting local businesses and the dog-friendly community. Come out to the market and make a day of it with your pup!
🚗 2 hours of FREE parking available at 210 W. Houston St. lot for registered attendees (must check in for validation) + all day free parking in the Artpace visitor lot located at 513 N. Flores

🎅 🐾 Santa Paws Parade & Dog Costume Contest Info:
Early bird costume contest entry is just $8 online or $12 at the door, and a portion of all proceeds from contest registrations will benefit our nonprofit partner, Puppy Food Bank.
Santa Paws Parade check-in/registration will be open from 10:00 – 12:30PM on event day. The parade will begin at 1PM, with winners of the costume contest announced promptly after.
Costume categories are Best Ugly Christmas Sweater, Best Doggy-Owner Duo, and Best in Show. Group costumes count as a single contest entry. We’ll have over $250 in prizes for the contest winners!
🐶 Costume Contest Rules:
- Contestants must register dog(s) online or in-person by 12:30PM on event day.
- Pairs or groups may be registered as a team, but will only count as 1 entry.
- All dogs must be on leash
- Dogs must be under voice control at all times
- Dogs must be up to date on their vaccinations
- Awards will be given for Best Ugly Christmas Sweater, Best Doggy-Owner Duo, and Best in Show
